The "Steps to Heaven"
Do you want to take the steps to Heaven? It is not very complicated. But it will require a bit of faith. Please let me explain from God's Word, the Bible. ~ If you want that, please read on.
Hope you enjoy learning about ~ and taking ~ the faith steps to Heaven. It is important to understand this simple truth: We all have sinned and the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is Eternal Life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Please read Romans 6:23). God the Father sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into this world to make atonement for our sins. Jesus paid for our sin-debt. Jesus tasted death for us! Isn't that great news? Not only did Jesus die to pay the price that our sins cost, but He was raised again on the third day! (Please read 1 Corinthians 15 in the Bible).
Now, you know about the basic problem which is sin: and that we all are sinners in need of a Saviour. This is the reason why God the Father sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth for us. Here now ~ are the basic Steps to Heaven:
- First you must realize that you, like all of us, are a sinner and admit it to God. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Please read Romans 3:23).
- Sin has a price which can take a soul to Hell - if it is not forgiven. We do not want that to happen. Therefore, we all need to have our sins forgiven. Sin cannot go into Heaven. (Romans 5:12 tells us, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned"). Adam was the first man who sinned.
- So ~ we repent and turn from sin ~ and put our faith in Christ.
- The next Step is to receive Christ: Jesus paid the price for our sins. So those who receive Him can have their sins forgiven. Do you want to receive Christ? If you do, there will be a prayer, shortly, for you to say to invite Jesus into your heart.
- We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is not something that we can earn. Salvation is a free gift from God. But we must receive that gift by faith.
So now it is time to complete the basic faith Steps with prayer:
"Lord Jesus Christ, I admit that I am a sinner. I turn from my sins today and put my faith in You. Please forgive my sins and come into my heart to live by the power of Your Holy Spirit. I want "new spiritual life," and hope of glory in Heaven when this life is over. Teach me how to pray and to read Your Word, the Bible. Please give me friends who love You. In Your Name, Jesus, I pray. Amen."

P. S. You will need to get into a Bible believing Church and fellowship with other believers. Read the Bible, start in the New Testament: the Book of John, Colossians, 1st and 2nd Corinthians are all good places to start. Reading the Bible will feed your spirit.
